SCHNAUZERHAUS puppers love their daily walk to a bush land park with a bona fide waterfall. No leads. They run free, to chase anything that moves – bush turkeys, the local bird life and unsuspecting lizards! Luckily they are too fat and lazy and no animal is destroyed in pursuit.
Our park has been lashed by hail, heavy flood rains and massive washouts. The trees along the creek path have been flattened, much to the dismay of the working boys – these were our regular ‘pee-mail’ pozzies!
I did fear that Dr Vestas would enter the swiftly-flowing creek and end up over the waterfall, down the range and into the valley below, such is his penchant for getting himself into strife! So far, life jackets have not been needed! Jumping skills are in order, though, to jump the giant chasms washed into the track by the rains. Dr Vestas jumps over them repeatedly, just because!
This weather has caused many ‘hoomans’ to stress out. Dr Vestas says, remember:
‘If you can’t fix it, just pee on it, and walk away!’ (Interpreted as ‘it is what it is – accept and move on – there’s better days ahead’)!
