Clinically Assisted Canine Therapy

Judith Predebon; psychotherapist and  counsellor, teacher, & canine assisted therapist.

Judith has 35 years experience in teaching, educational psychology, counselling and psychotherapy.

Setting up private practice and educating my clinical therapy dogs and myself to an exacting standard has been a long, challenging but fulfilling journey. We are re-assessed in clinical therapy work, and undergo mandatory professional development and ongoing professional supervision annually. We are currently undertaking ongoing continud study with Linda at ‘Cause and Effect Dog Training’ in Withcott.

Judith is experienced in trauma, suicide, family, relationship, child, adolescent and adult therapies.  Judith’s background in educational psychology, including psycho-educational testing and pastoral care programs, ensures that clients are respectfully and thoroughly listened to, and counselled according to their individual needs.

Judith and Vestas

Vestas is a continental gentleman with arresting good looks and laid-back disposition. He particularly loves working with children, adolescents and young adults and spreads his love and charm freely. He has had extensive obedience and clinical therapy dog training.  Like Clark Gable, his education in these fields is on-going. He lives to please

Judith and Clark

Clark Gable is a handsome and debonair gentleman with extensive experience working with aged care residents, adults, children and adolescents.  He participates in ongoing obedience and clinical therapy dog training. He’s quite the ‘man about town’, quick to bond with his clients, and is a likeable rogue, loved by all!

“I’ve owned dogs since before I can remember, and over the years have developed a thorough understanding of canine training and behaviour.”

After being introduced to the beautifully natured and highly intelligent miniature schnauzers bred by Caroline and Eddie Lindenberg at Babetal stud, I saw their potential as clinical therapy dogs. All my dogs have been bred at Babetal and have become part of my heart, my family and my practice.

“I have found that when you are deeply troubled, there are things you get from the silent devoted companionship of a dog that you can get from no other source.”
