We have 4, all fully trained and personable to the max. We use the dogs in therapy, alongside conventional therapy methods to increase the engagement between client and therapist. We find that the dogs work extra hard with the client and love their jobs.

We have 4 therapy dogs because the dogs give so much to the client in the session they need to be rested between times. That way, no dogs become burnt out or stale, and they continue to look forward to meeting their particular client when they visit.e

Some of our clients like to have more than 1 therapy dog in their session, and this is OK too. The dogs enjoy this as there are lots of treats in these sessions!

The dogs clients include people with Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder, Behaviour Problems, Confidence and Self-Esteem issues, Social Problems and Psychological issues. No matter the problem the dogs do help because of a magical phenomenon called the HUMAN ANIMAL BOND. This is evident as soon as the client walks into the room as the dogs are highly intuitive in sensing their needs. Just think of when you are out and see someone with a cute dog – you instantly melt and begin to communicate with the dog! This is how it works!

Remember the Schnauzer Motto: ‘if you can’t fix it, just pee on it and walk away.’
