Dr Vestas rocks that Sunday feeling, after a long, leisurely, muddy walk!

Yes, he’s wet, he’s muddy, he’s exhausted! All in response to a ‘fave’, off-leash walk in the bush. And what wonderful bush it is!  There are creek crossings, waterfalls, and ‘off-piste’ territory where he can engage his 4 Wheel Drive!

After the rains, the grasses are green, the trees have shining-bright leaves, the birds are out and tiny land creatures are all exploring. And so is Vestas! He plunges through the thickets, roars up and down the embankments and slithers through the water. And yes, he could, one day, just slide right down that waterfall!

DR Vestas with 4WD engaged.

Dr Vestas is a working dog, and this is his down-time, away from shiny-clean coats, crates, mats and commands to be ‘nice’ to the humans. He loves to walk every day, but that’s only to his dog park, which is a huge park, none-the-less! But, he lives for the weekends, when we venture further afield, to explore the wilds, where he stretches his limbs, engages his sniffer, deploys the ‘fourbie’ and runs amuck!

Now, Vestas is a man who lives his every minute to the fullest! He’s all systems go, or cool as a cucumber, depending on the vibes of the moment. He also vocalises when he feels the need, but only speaks Danish, as that is the country where he was born.

You see, he came across the seas, to become a right-royal stud at Miniature Schnauzer breeders here in Queensland. He has many distinctive progeny on the ground, but has now retired from duty, to be Dr Vestas, the Clinical Therapy Dog you know and love, today.

That Sunday Feeling!

Best Dr Vestas advice comes from Minature Schnauzer lore, where it is stated that ‘if you can’t change it, just pee on it, and walk away!
